Install Driver For Unknown Device Windows 10

broken image

Hi, I just decided to do a fresh installation of Windows 10 with a USB. However, after starting windows, I went into device manager and saw a few unknown devices. The device id shows. New install of windows 10 and i have an unknown device in device manager. Device id is in the title. No matter what i try cannot find the right driver for this. Any thoughts please? No other usb or other devices passed through so its not that. Edited January 18, 2020 by AntaresUK.

Before you begin

Driver updates for Windows 10, along with many devices, such as network adapters, monitors, printers, and video cards, are automatically downloaded and installed through Windows Update. You probably already have the most recent drivers, but if you'd like to manually update or reinstall a driver, here's how:

Update the device driver

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager.

  2. Select a category to see names of devices, then right-click (or press and hold) the one you'd like to update.

  3. Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
